# C2 — Inter-discipline Coordination Matrix

**Project:** Kingsford Hotel Bacolod BMS
**Date:** 2026-04-27
**Source:** A1 (C/O column) + A2 (equipment) + A5 (network) + A7 (power) + WBS exclusions

## Purpose

Where BMS scope **touches** other disciplines. Each row is an interface point that requires explicit coordination during engineering, installation, and commissioning. This matrix protects against scope-edge surprises.

## BMS ↔ Mechanical (ME) Contractor

The largest interface — most BMS field devices for HVAC, plumbing, and equipment auxiliary contacts come from ME contractor.

| Interface item | BMS provides | ME provides | Coordination required |
|----------------|--------------|-------------|------------------------|
| Chilled Water plant — chiller iso valves (CHW + COW R&S) | Wiring + termination + status DI | Motorized valves + actuators | Valve actuator electrical specs (typically 24VAC); BMS panel power if applicable; mounting locations |
| AHU motorized valves (CHW modulating) | Wiring + termination + AO command | Modulating valves with electric actuators | Actuator signal type (0-10V, 4-20mA, BACnet); spring-return vs. fail-stop preferences |
| AHU dampers (OA, RA) | Wiring + termination + AO/DI | Dampers + actuators | Modulating vs. on-off; position feedback signal type |
| AHU/DOAS supply fans | Wiring + termination + DI status reading + HLI to VFD | Fans + VFDs | VFD BACnet/Modbus settings; auxiliary contact wiring conventions |
| Cooling tower iso valves + blowdown | Wiring + termination | Iso valves; BMS-supplied blowdown valve (per A1 c_o) | Blowdown valve location and pH sensor location |
| Heat pumps + recirc pumps + calorifiers | Wiring + termination + DI/HLI | Pumps + calorifiers + their auxiliary contacts | Hot water plant layout (Q-008) |
| Steam boilers | Wiring + termination + AI sensors (steam P, fluegas T+O2) + DO blowdown valve | Boilers + their auxiliary contacts (water level, burner, fire) | Boiler vendor's BMS interface points; mounting of BMS-supplied sensors |
| Equipment-supplier-provided cabling | Field cable from BMS panel TO their device | Aux contacts at the device's terminal block | Define the demarcation point (typically at equipment terminal box) |
| Plant room cable trays | Cable installation in tray | Trays themselves (per A-001-supplemental) | Tray routing and BMS reservation; submit cable load to ME |

## BMS ↔ Electrical (EE) Contractor

| Interface item | BMS provides | EE provides | Coordination required |
|----------------|--------------|-------------|------------------------|
| Power feeds to BMS panels (×18) | None | 240V single-phase circuits per A7 | Submit A7 power schedule to EE early; EE confirms feeders available |
| Power feed to head-end (server room) | UPS + internal distribution | 240V 32A circuit to UPS input | Server-room location confirmation (Q-005); UPS input requirements |
| Power feed to edge switches (×6) | None | 240V circuits per A7 | Switch IDF locations |
| Multifunction power meters (13×) | Meters + Modbus cabling + readings to BMS | CTs/VTs in switchgear (per BMS-supplied spec); panel mounting space | Submit meter installation drawings to EE; coordinate switchgear cutouts |
| Switchgear interface for emergency stop / BMS lockout | Reading interlock signals | Hardwired EmStop signals (if required per Q-012) | Define Em-stop scope and signal types |
| Lightning/surge protection on BMS panels | SPDs at panel input | Building-wide SPD coordination | Coordinate ground reference + SPD class |

## BMS ↔ FDAS (Fire Detection & Alarm)

> **Currently flagged TBD pending Q-012 customer answer.** Default exclusion: BMS does NOT integrate with FDAS unless explicitly requested.

| Interface item (if added) | BMS provides | FDAS provides | Coordination required |
|---------------------------|--------------|---------------|------------------------|
| FDAS alarm summary on BMS graphics | BACnet/Modbus client + integration programming | BACnet/Modbus interface from fire panel | FDAS vendor's BACnet object list; common alarm classes |
| BMS shutdown on fire alarm (smoke control sequence) | Receive + execute shutdown sequence on AHU/exhaust fans | Hardwired contact closure or BACnet alarm event | Define which equipment shuts down, sequence, restart conditions |

## BMS ↔ IT / Networking

| Interface item | BMS provides | Customer IT provides | Coordination required |
|----------------|--------------|----------------------|------------------------|
| BMS LAN (isolated VLAN) | Core switch + edge switches + IP plan | (none) | BMS LAN does not route to customer LAN |
| Uplink to customer LAN (1 Gbps) | Uplink port from CORE switch | Drop from customer's IT closet + firewall rules | IP block allocation for BMS WAN access; firewall ports (BACnet/IP UDP 47808, HTTPS for remote access if any); time sync source |
| Remote access (engineering / vendor support) | VPN client config | VPN access to customer network | TBD per Q-012 |
| BMS server hostname / DNS | Static IP + hostname | DNS entry for BMS server | Naming convention |
