## Project-specific values

- **Topology:** Star-and-tree BACnet/IP — see `05-working-docs/A5-network-architecture.md` and `A5-network.png`.
- **Switches:** 1× managed L2 core (SW-CORE, 24×1G+4×SFP) + 6× edge (SW-LG, SW-BSMT, SW-GF, SW-2F, SW-3F, SW-ROOF — 8×1G each).
- **Backbone:** OS2 single-mode fiber 4-strand riser per floor band, ~120 m total per A3 trunks.
- **Floor uplinks:** Cat6 4P × 23 AWG U/UTP within rack rooms; total ~80 m per A3.
- **Field protocols:** BACnet/IP (chillers, DOAS), BACnet MS/TP daisy-chain, Modbus RTU/TCP (8× power meters + 1× BTU meter).
- **Power:** edge-switch loads ~40 W each (320 W total network edge per A7); SW-CORE on head-end UPS.
- **Standalone BMS LAN per `A-013`** — single uplink to enterprise network for off-network reporting, no FDAS/Security/IT integration (`A-017`).

- Riser: ~120 m fiber + ~150 m MS/TP backbone.
- ~150 m field BACnet/IP Cat6 (per A3 network drops).
